As a practical reminder to the saints, the space provided at the end of each week is for composing a short prophecy. This prophecy can be composed by considering all of our daily notes, the "harvest" of our inspirations during the week, and preparing a main point with some sub-points to be spoken in the church meetings for the organic building up of the Body of Christ.

TRUTH PURSUIT

500 Life-Studies

The Life-study of the Bible is a book-by-book exposition of the entire Bible from the perspective of God’s New Testament economy while ministering spiritual life supply. We encourage all the saints to develop a habit of reading the Life-studies for your spiritual nourishment and growth in Christ. To help the saints, we suggest reading two messages a week according to the following sequential reading: Matthew (72 messages), John (51), Romans (69), Galatians (46), Ephesians (97), Philippians (62), Colossians (65), and Revelation (68), totaling 530 messages. Starting May 1, we will start reading the Life-study of Matthew. Please watch the video below for additional information. Study questions are available for anyone who desires to use them.

Yearly New Testament Reading

To help the saints read through the New Testament once a year, we have prepared a reading schedule on Bible Challenges: Church in Atlanta - 2023 New Testament Reading 2023.

This plan will read through the entire New Testament in one year's time. The plan has one chapter daily from Monday through Saturday and no readings on Lord's day. Please use that time to consider your reading and/or catch back up. The Bible (Recovery Version) without footnotes is also available for free on text.recoveryversion.bible

Ministry Digest

The purpose of this monthly digest is to help to encourage and assist in the daily reading of the ministry. We suggest getting into the line on Maturing in Life.

The Maturing in Life Line covers chapters 35 through 38 of Perfecting Training, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1980.

These chapters cover fellowship on how to be released from the law of sin and of death, having our being according to the spirit, being according to the spirit by minding the things of the spirit, and practicing to set the mind on the spirit. The Collected Works of Witness Lee is available on ministrybooks.org through a subscription purchased separately.

The Maturing in Life Line covers chapters 31 through 34 of Perfecting Training, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1980.

Discontinuation Notice: Living Stream Ministry will discontinue the Ministry Digest publication in English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, and Korean at the end of this year. REPORTS

The church in Atlanta was greatly shepherded by the Lord over the last two weeks through the Summer School of Truth for the young people and Bible Camp for the children. Both events were assuring reminders that He has a tender heart and particular intention not only for these young ones, but also for their families and the church as a whole.

Thirty-one young people and thirteen serving ones from Atlanta traveled to Locust Springs Christian Retreat Center in Greeneville, TN, from Wednesday, June 14th, to Lord's day, June 18th, for a Summer School of Truth on the Triune God and the Person and Work of Christ. We were joined by YP and serving ones from Athens, Kennesaw, Knoxville, and Birmingham, and the time was marked by a sweet atmosphere of intimate blending among the young people. Each of the days' four sessions began with enjoying the Lord through singing, which over the course of our time together, developed to a level that the serving ones have not seen among the young people for many years. The first session of each day included a short speaking about morning revival and allocated time for the kids to go out and practice being with the Lord alone. The subsequent sessions covered points related to either the Triune God or the Person and work of Christ and included times for the smaller groups to discuss the content and ask questions. As usual, the young people very much enjoyed recreation together, which included an approximately 200-foot waterslide, team field sports, and evening campfires. We were particularly cherished by the care of a group of sisters from Knoxville and Atlanta who volunteered their time to prepare all our meals.

From Wednesday, June 21st, to Saturday, June 24th, sixty-two children from Atlanta and surrounding localities came together from 10:00 ᴀ.ᴍ. to 2:00 ᴘ.ᴍ. every day for Bible Camp. We started each day with songs and stories about the first eighty years of Moses' life to learn lessons about proper character and about honoring God and His Word. Following this, the various age groups rotated through stations for crafts, outside games, snacks, and additional lesson time. The children enjoyed earning tickets for things such as memorizing verses and the books of the Bible, reading the Bible at home with their families, and making their bed in the morning. At the end of the week, they were allowed to exchange their tickets for prizes. On Saturday we concluded Bible Camp with parents joining to watch final presentations and a pizza lunch, which was followed by a water-balloon fight, a water sport free-for-all, and a slip-and-slide.

Following both the Summer School of Truth and Bible Camp, the serving ones came away with two distinct senses. The first was that the Lord's particular blessing and gracious visitation were with us every moment and that these were commanded upon us by the saints praying fervently in one accord. The second sense was that we still have much to do in recovering our work among our children and young people. We feel that the Lord is bringing the church in Atlanta into a new season of coordination between the families and serving ones and are praying that the church would be a place for all the ages in His household to grow in their experience of Him and contribute to the accomplishing of His heart's desire.
